The 5/2 SBCT reconnaissance platoon reorganized and trained for this complementary deployed mission. Platoon duties included evidentiary triage, document and media exploitation, biometrics, and other forensics. In addition, each of the eight combating weapons of mass destruction military mission areas correspond to UE core operational activities requirements (see Figure 3, page 22). Many of the core operational activity requirements are mirrored in multiple military mission areas. For example, the tools, techniques, and procedures that a CBRN professional uses to detect suspect materials during an interdiction operation may be nearly identical to those employed during an offensive or elimination operation.
